LPPF®
Is LPPF® a film?+
No. LPPF® is applied as a liquid and cures into a seamless clear layer over your factory clear coat — there are no film edges to lift or peel.
How is LPPF® different from film PPF?+
Film is cut and stretched over your panels, so it has edges that can peel and it can yellow over time. LPPF® is sprayed on like a clear coat and cures seamlessly — no edges, no yellowing, and it heals itself.
How does self-healing work?+
LPPF® is built on reversible hydrogen bonds. When a light scratch breaks them, they re-form across the gap and close it. See the technology.
Will it yellow or peel?+
No. LPPF® never yellows and has no edges to peel.
Will it change how my paint looks?+
LPPF® is crystal clear and enhances gloss.
Can it go on an older car?+
Yes. LPPF® is applied over cured paint, newer or aged — your installer adjusts surface prep to your finish.
Ceramic
How long does ceramic last?+
Up to 5 years with the 5-Year formula and up to 8 years with the 8-Year formula, depending on environmental factors like sun exposure, climate and how the vehicle is washed.
What’s the difference between 5-Year and 8-Year?+
Both use the same nanocomposite technology for paint, metal and wheels. The 8-Year formula is engineered to last longer.
What can ceramic be applied to?+
Paint, metal and wheels.
Is ceramic the same as LPPF®?+
No. Ceramic is a thin nano coating for gloss and easy care. LPPF® is a self-healing fluoropolymer that protects against chips and light scratches. Compare them.
Pricing & quotes
How much does it cost?+
Pricing depends on your vehicle and the coverage you choose. Use the Instant Quote to see your exact price in a few steps.
Why does price depend on my vehicle?+
Larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs have more surface to protect. The Instant Quote prices your specific body class and coverage.
Can I save my quote?+
Yes. Enter your email in the Instant Quote and we’ll send you a copy to come back to later.
Installation
Where is it installed?+
Exclusively at certified Crash Champions installation centers. LPPF® is sprayed like a clear coat, so it’s applied by collision-repair technicians, not detailers. Ceramic is applied by the same team. Choose your nearest center when you book in the Instant Quote.
How do I book an install?+
Finish your Instant Quote, choose a nearby Crash Champions center and pick a drop-off date and time.
How long will my car be at the shop?+
The coating is cured in the booth, so most vehicles are ready the same or next day. Your center will confirm your pickup time.
Do I need to prep my car?+
No prep needed. Your Crash Champions center cleans and preps the surface before the install.
Warranty
How long is the warranty?+
LPPF® is backed by a 15-year warranty. 8-Year Ceramic is backed by an 8-year warranty. 5-Year Ceramic is backed by a 5-year warranty.
What does the warranty cover?+
LPPF® is covered for 15 years against yellowing, peeling or delamination, cracking and bubbling. Ceramic is covered for 5 or 8 years against loss of gloss, UV fading and coating failure. Collisions, improper care and pre-existing paint issues aren’t covered, but if you’re in a collision, Crash Champions can work with your insurance company to repair the affected areas. See what’s covered.
Are inspections required?+
No. There are no inspections required to keep your LPPF® or ceramic warranty.
Do I need to register my warranty?+
No. Your Crash Champions center registers your warranty for you after your install. Check your warranty anytime.
How do I make a warranty claim?+
Submit a claim online with your VIN and photos of the issue. Start a claim.
Care & repairs
What if LPPF® gets damaged?+
Light scratches heal on their own. Deeper damage won’t heal on its own and isn’t covered by the warranty, but LPPF® is 100% repairable.
When can I wash my car?+
Wait 2 weeks after your install before the first wash — for both LPPF® and ceramic. After that, a gentle hand wash about once a month keeps it looking its best.
How do I care for it?+
Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and soft microfiber. See the full aftercare guide.
