5-Year vs 8-Year ceramic: which should you choose?

Lumax G3 Ceramic comes in two formulas, 5-Year and 8-Year. They’re built on the same technology, so the choice mostly comes down to how long you plan to keep your car.

What’s the same

  • The same molecular nanocomposite technology
  • Protection for paint, metal and wheels
  • Exceptional UV, scratch and chemical resistance
  • An insanely hydrophobic, high-gloss finish
  • Installed by certified technicians at Crash Champions
  • A warranty registered for you at install, with no inspections required

What’s different

The 8-Year formula is engineered to last longer: up to 8 years of protection versus up to 5, depending on environmental factors. Each formula is backed by a matching warranty.

Choose 5-Year if…

  • You lease, or plan to trade in within a few years
  • You want lasting gloss and easy care at a lower price point

Choose 8-Year if…

  • You’re keeping your vehicle for the long haul
  • You want our longest-lasting ceramic
Same technology. Pick the lifespan that matches your plans.

Caring for either formula

Care is identical: give it 2 hours before driving, keep it dry for 24 hours, wait 2 weeks before the first wash, then hand wash with a pH-neutral soap about once a month. Skip wax, because it dulls gloss and water beading. The aftercare guide has the full routine.
