Will LPPF® change how my paint looks?

It’s one of the first things people ask: if you add a protective layer over your paint, will the car still look like your car? With LPPF®, the short answer is yes, only glossier.

Crystal clear

LPPF® is a clear, self-healing fluoropolymer sprayed over your factory clear coat, the same way a clear coat is applied. It cures into one continuous, invisible layer, so your color comes through exactly as it was.

Enhanced gloss

LPPF® is crystal clear with a deeper shine than bare clear coat.

Your paint, only deeper.

No edges, no seams

Film PPF is cut into pieces and stretched over each panel, so anyone can usually spot the edges around panel gaps, emblems and door handles. LPPF® has nothing to cut or trim, so there are no visible lines.

How it looks years from now

  • Never yellows: it stays crystal clear for the life of the finish.
  • Never peels: there are no edges to lift.
  • Self-healing: light swirls and scratches heal with heat, so the surface stays smooth.

What about older paint?

LPPF® can go on newer or aged paint. Your installer adjusts surface prep to your finish.

Keeping the gloss

Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap about once a month and skip wax, which dulls the gloss and water beading. The aftercare guide has the full routine.
