Every Lumax install is done by certified technicians at a Crash Champions center. Here’s what happens from the moment you book to the day you drive away protected.
Booking
Start with the Instant Quote. Pick your vehicle and coverage to see your exact price, then choose a nearby Crash Champions center and a drop-off date and time. You can also enter your email to save your quote and come back to it later.
Before drop-off
No prep needed. Your Crash Champions center cleans and preps the surface before the install.
How long it takes
The coating is cured in the booth, so most vehicles are ready the same or next day. Your center will confirm your pickup time.
How LPPF® goes on
- Prep. The surface is cleaned and lightly scuffed so LPPF® bonds to your existing finish.
- Spray. LPPF® is sprayed on just like a factory clear coat, in a controlled environment.
- Cure. The coating is cured in the booth, so most vehicles are ready the same or next day.
- Drive protected. Pick up your vehicle with your 15-year warranty registered for you.
How ceramic goes on
- Decon. Contaminants are removed and any paint correction is completed first.
- Wash. The vehicle is washed and every surface is dried completely.
- Prep wipe. Panels are wiped down so the coating bonds to bare, clean paint.
- Apply. Ceramic is wiped on panel by panel, then buffed off to a high gloss.
- Cure. Give it 2 hours before you drive away and keep it dry for 24 hours.

At pick-up
Your Crash Champions center registers your warranty for you after your install, so there’s nothing to fill out. You can check your warranty anytime.
The first few weeks
- LPPF®: avoid touching or covering the protected panels for the first 24 hours.
- Ceramic: wait 2 hours before driving and keep it dry for 24 hours.
- Both: wait 2 weeks before the first wash, then hand wash about once a month.
